Person Shot In Settlers' Park: Plainfield Police
Police asked anyone with information on the shooting to come forward.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A person was shot late Saturday in Settlers' Park, Plainfield police said early Sunday.
According to police, officers responded to the shooting at 10:44 p.m. at the park just south of Village Hall on Lockport Street, and the victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Police called the shooting a "targeted incident" and said there was no threat to the public.

On social media, residents who live near downtown Plainfield reported receiving an alert asking them to shelter in place late Saturday night.
