Plainfield 202 Schools To Re-Open April 6 At Earliest

Officials with Plainfield School District 202 said they expect schools not to re-open until the week of April 6

PLAINFIELD, IL — In compliance with Governor Pritzker's order to close all schools in Illinois to help slow COVID-19 spread, Plainfield District 202 schools will not hold classes starting Tuesday, March 17. Pritzker's order was that all schools remain closed until March 30, but district officials have now said they do not expect classes to resume until April 6, at the earliest. This additional stretch of time off corresponds to the district's previously scheduled Spring Break.

The announcement that classes will not resume until April 6 is now viewable as a pop-up on the District 202 website. The same pop-up also includes information regarding the district's current coronavirus protocols and information about the district's student meal pick-up program.
