Plainfield Academy To Host Pancake Breakfast, Hot Dog Lunch

Breakfast tickets will cost $5, while coffee or water is $1 and hot dogs are $3. Money will benefit the alternative school and its programs.

PLAINFIELD, IL — The Friends of Plainfield Academy, a community-based support group comprised of parents, community and business leaders, will hold its 15th annual pancake breakfast and hot dog lunch on Saturday, Feb. 16, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Plainfield High School Central Campus Field House. The event is part of the Plainfield Chamber of Commerce Expo.

Plainfield Academy is the district's alternative school, providing a supportive environment for students' academic and behavioral growth, and the pancake breakfast and hot dog lunch is its primary yearly fundraiser, according to a news release.

Breakfast tickets will cost $5, while coffee or water is $1 and hot dogs are $3. Kids under the age of 3 can eat for free.

Officials say money raised during the event will benefit the several academy programs, including P-STEP, TAP (Therapeutic Academic Program) and Turnabout, as well as the school in general.
