Missing Plainfield Boy, 16, Returned Home: Police

The teenager, who was reported missing Monday afternoon, returned home, Plainfield police said in an update.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A boy, 16, who was reported missing on Monday has returned home, police said in an update Wednesday afternoon.

The teenager was reported missing at 2:37 p.m. Monday after he left his residence, and his phone had been turned off, police said in a Facebook post on Tuesday. Officials updated the post just before 5 p.m. Wednesday to say he had been located.
