Community Christian Church - Plainfield is turning to technology to deliver its message. They are inviting people to the Obey-A-Day challenge. If you text "obey" to 313131, you will receive a daily text message throughout the month of August with "obey" challenges from scripture.

- Sushi N Noodle Sushi N Noodle will be closed on Aug. 5 for renovations. They will reopen on Aug. 6.
- Plainfield Public Library District is asking patrons to hold on to book donations until the Friends of the Library begin collecting items on Friday, August 16th. Volunteers will then be available to assist with large donations. Donations will be part of the used book sale on Aug. 23 and Aug. 24. The proceeds of which are used to purchase big ticket items for the Library, especially technology.
- A Thin Line Tattoo's is expanding its piercing hours. Piercings are now available on Mondays and Tuesdays from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. in addition to Thursday, Fridays and most Saturdays.
