Plainfield Coronavirus Update: 47 Cases Confirmed; No Deaths
The newest figure indicates that 12 people were confirmed to have the virus in Plainfield in one day.
PLAINFIELD, IL — The Plainfield Police announced via Facebook this morning that there were 47 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the village as of April 7. This represents a jump of 12 cases since the previous day's count, but there are still no confirmed coronavirus deaths in Plainfield. Additionally, at least one patient has been confirmed to have recovered from the virus.
The police receive the information they need to make their daily updates from the Will and Kendall County Health Departments. As of the morning of April 9, there have been 914 confirmed cases in Will County and 85 in Kendall. These are part of the 15,078 cases so far confirmed in Illinois and 432,579 confirmed in the U.S.
All Plainfield residents are urged to stay home whenever possible, and to avoid social gatherings of any kind. Unfortunately, this includes meeting with friends and family who live outside your household, even during the Easter holiday. Regularly washing hands and sanitizing high-use surfaces are also effective ways of protecting one's self, as is wearing a face mask in public.
