Plainfield Police Will Be 'Out In Full Force' For Final Traffic Enforcement Of 2025

If a driver is pulled over during the three-week-long campaign period, "no excuses will be accepted," Plainfield police said.

PLAINFIELD, IL — The Plainfield Police Department launched its final traffic enforcement campaign of 2025, encompassing the Christmas and New Year's holidays, officials announced.

Beginning Dec. 12 through Jan. 5, Plainfield officers will join law enforcement agencies statewide to enforce the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over," "Drive High, Get a DUI" and "Click It or Ticket" campaigns.

Plainfield police will be "out in full force" enforcing traffic laws. If a driver is pulled over, "no excuses will be accepted," according to Sgt. Dino Dabezic.

"This season let's make safety our shared priority," he said in a statement. "If you plan to drink or use impairing substances, plan for a sober ride home and always wear your seat belt. Driving impaired isn’t just dangerous; it’s unacceptable."
