Plainfield Finance Coordinator Named New Transportation Director

PLAINFIELD, IL — District 202 Coordinator of Accounting Sandy Bressers will serve as the director of transportation next school year. She will replace Ellen Theobald, who is retiring in December.

Bressers started as a full-time employee with District 202 in 2005 as a teacher’s aid at Lakewood Falls Elementary School, then served in the same capacity from 2008-2010 at Walker’s Grove Elementary School.

From 2010-13, Bressers worked as principal’s secretary at John F. Kennedy Middle School. She moved to the district office in 2013 as a confidential secretary in the administration and personnel department, then started in her current role in January 2016.

“I am thrilled to have Sandy Bressers as the new Director of Transportation for 202,” said Rick Engstrom, assistant superintendent for business and operations. “Her attentiveness, dedication and leadership qualities make her a great fit to lead the transportation department,” he said.

Bressers said she is excited to start this new role after 13 years with the district because she’ll be able to help the transportation department continue to serve District 202 families by providing a high level of service and support.
