Plainfield Man Faces Child Porn Charges
Plainfield police arrested John F. Margarella Friday.

A Plainfield man has been arrested and charged with possession of child pornography.
John F. Margarella, 50, of the 16000 block of Riverwood Court, was arrested at about 7 a.m. at his residence Friday by and booked into the Will County jail.
He is charged with four counts of possession of film, videos or photos containing child pornography, police said.

When officers served Margarella with a search warrant Friday morning, images and videos containing child pornography were found in his home, Detective Sgt. Kevin McQuaid said.
Officials said the information which led to the search warrant came after a lengthy investigation conducted jointly by the Plainfield Police Department and the Will County State's Attorney's Office.

Margarella is scheduled to appear in court Saturday.
