Plainfield Orthodontist Is Offering $1K Scholarships To Students

Julie Gardner from Associated Orthodontists said this will help students and remove obstacles for their "future education and endeavors."

PLAINFIELD, IL — To help its patients' educational goals and career dreams, an orthodontist in Plainfield is giving out scholarships.

Associated Orthodontists is now accepting applications for its 2021 scholarship program. Five winners will be chosen to each receive a $1,000 scholarship to be applied directly to tuition at a college, university, vocational training or technical school.

"Supporting our patients and communities through sponsorships and donations has always been an important part of our culture," said Director of Practice Development Julie Gardner. "We know higher education can be a financial challenge for many, especially in times like this. It is our hope that our support will help ease some of the burden and help remove any obstacles for their future education and endeavors."

All current and former patients who are graduating from high school, received full braces at Associated Orthodontists and have a GPA of at least 3.0 are eligible to apply. Applications will be accepted through March 1 and winners will be notified and announced in April.

Garner said they started this scholarship in 2014, and winners are selected by a panel of employees and the doctors at Associated Orthodontists. Recipients will be chosen based on the submitted essay, academic achievements, and participation in school and community activities.
