Plainfield PD Hiring New Officer: How to Apply

Applicants must be between 21 and 35 and meet a few particular requirements.

PLAINFIELD, IL — The Village of Plainfield is looking for a new police officer on the force. Applications are due on Feb. 22 for the job with a starting pay of over $62,000.

They require applicants to be U.S. citizens with a valid driver's license and no felony convictions. By the date of appointment, they must have an associate's degree in criminal justice or law enforcement, or a bachelor's degree in any field from a regionally accredited institution.

Applicants must be between 21 and 35 on Feb. 22, have a valid POWER test card within one year of the exam and veterans must provide a DD-214.
