Plainfield PD Holds Annual 'Shop With A Cop' Event For 41 Kids
"It is always a great time helping the students pick out gifts for their family members, and this year was no different," officials said.

PLAINFIELD, IL — The Plainfield Police Department held its annual "Shop with a Cop" vent at Target Dec. 21. "We were excited to provide 41 deserving students and their families with some holiday cheer," the department posted to Facebook, along with photos of the event.
The police department purchased gift cards for kids nominated by the school district, who were partnered with an officer to help them shop and pick gifts. The tradition began in Plainfield in 2008, with the money coming from a charitable funds account.
"It is always a great time helping students pick out gifts for their family members, and this year was no different," officials said.
