PLAINFIELD, IL — Plainfield Police are planning a seat belt enforcement crackdown for the end of the month, the department announced. The no-excuses campaign will run from Saturday through Nov. 3.

During the campaign, officers will be checking to make sure drivers and car passengers are buckled. Any driver not wearing a seat belt will be ticketed, according to the department. Because seat belt use drops in the hours between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., the campaign will have a nighttime focus, according to the department.

Plainfield Police ask all motorists to use their seat belt as a means of saving lives.
