The Plainfield Police announced Wednesday that they would be extending special services to the area's elderly residents.
PLAINFIELD, IL - The Plainfield Police Department announced Wednesday that it would be extending special services to the village's elderly population. Elderly and/or homebound Plainfield residents can contact the Plainfield Police Department’s Elderly Services Unit at 815-267-7200 or email triad@plainfieldpd.com to receive regular check-ins by officers. The name, address, telephone number and/or email address of the elderly or homebound person must be included in any request for aid.
The police stated that they will attempt to make contact with people by telephone or email first, to limit the potential spread of the coronavirus. Only if no contact is made after multiple attempts, will an officer be sent to a person's residence to attempt contact with the homebound or elderly person. Officers will attempt to use social distancing procedures as best they can in each circumstance.
