Plainfield Schools With The Best Teachers For 2020

PLAINFIELD, IL —The beginning of the school year is a good time to do a little research on how your teachers stack up against others — whether you’re sending your children to kindergarten for the first time or if they’re preparing to graduate.

Niche, which rates everything in education, has created a list of what it considers the schools with the best teachers in Plainfield.

According to Niche.com, the rankings are based on seven factors: academic grades, parent/student surveys on teachers, teacher absenteeism, teacher salary index, teachers in their first or second year, average teacher salary and the student-teacher ratio.

Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy in Aurora has the best teachers in the state, according to the rankings. With 647 total students in the school, and a student-teacher ratio of 12:1, the academy had both an A+ rating in teachers and overall niche grade. New Trier High School was second on the list.

Of the top 10 schools with the best teachers in the Plainfield area, the four highest ranked are actually not in District 202. In order, the top 4 Plainfield-area schools with the best teachers are: Danielle-Joy Peterson Elementary School, Graham Elementary School, Neuqua Valley High School and Clifford Crone Middle School, all located in Naperville.

The final six schools in the Plainfield top 10 are in District 202. The highest-scoring District 202 school is Heritage Grove Middle School, which ranked No. 254 best public middle school for teachers in Illinois, according to Niche.
