Plainfield Schools Hiring Paraprofessionals Throughout District

District 202 is looking for paras to work in vocational education, the Catalyst program, Student Support Services and more.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 is looking for dozens of paraprofessionals to fill education assistant roles throughout the District.

The schools are hiring special education paraprofessionals, special education individual student assistants, special education vocational education assistants, and special education paraprofessionals assigned to the Catalyst program, Bonnie McBeth Early Learning Center and Student Support Services, the District said on Facebook.

Shifts are seven hours long and pay starts at $13.75 per hour.

There are 57 open paraprofessional roles in total, and the application portal can be found here.

Selected applicants must provide a Professional Educator License with Stipulations (PARA), an official diploma or transcripts, and a driver's license and social security card, the schools said on Facebook.

They must complete a physical and TB infection test, a criminal background check, an orientation session and online tutorials.

In addition to paraprofessionals, District 202 is hoping to fill dozens of other roles ahead of the 2021-22 school year, in departments ranging from athletics/activities to elementary school teaching to substitute teaching.
