Plainfield Students Win Recognition In National German Exam

From Plainfield Community School District 202:

PLAINFIELD, IL – Nineteen Plainfield North High School and Plainfield South High School earned special recognitions after taking the National German Exam in January.

Twenty-six PNHS students and 13 PSHS students took the rigorous test.

Thirteen PNHS students and six PSHS students earned special designations for their top scores.

PNHS senior Sarah Conley and PSHS senior Angelo Lopez earned a “Goldurkunde” or Gold Certificate for scoring at or above the 90th percentile on the exam.

Lopez and Conley are now eligible to receive the American Association of Teachers of German/PAD Study Trip Award where they would have the opportunity to spend three to four weeks living in Germany.

These students earned a Silberurkunde or Silver Certificate for scoring between the 80th to 89th percentiles:
