Plainfield Township Day Being Held Wednesday

PLAINFIELD, IL — Plainfield Township residents are invited to have fun while learning more about their township government at the Plainfield Township Day Wednesday. The event will take place from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Plainfield Township Administration Building, 22525 W. Lockport St.

Plainfield Township Day has a number of entertainment options for kids and adults. For kids, that includes face painting, bouncy house, balloon twister and a touch-a-truck event. There will also be senior bingo, dance and musical performances, and a car show, according to the township.

Residents will also be able to meet local elected officials and township staff and learn more about services offered by the township. Participants will be able to enter to win a number of raffles, including for a boy and girls bikes, gift baskets and gift cards.

The event will also serve as a fundraiser for Plainfield Area Interfaith Food Pantry, and participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for the pantry. For more information on the event, click here.

Plainfield Township serves 80,000 residents and encompasses parts of Plainfield, Joliet, Romeoville and Crest Hill.
