Planned Protest At Plainfield North High School Thursday: Police

Plainfield Police Chief John Konopek said the department is expecting the protest to be peaceful.

PLAINFIELD, IL — In a social media post, the Plainfield Police Department said that a planned gathering has been scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday at the Plainfield North High School.

"We are in communication with the organizer and expect the gathering to remain peaceful as the same type of gathering did a couple of days ago," said Police Chief John Konopek.

A protest was also held at the same venue on Tuesday and according to the Plainfield police, it was "extremely peaceful."

Konopek said the officers will ensure public safety and asks residents to call 911 if they notice anything.
