'Puts Their Whole Being Into Teaching': Plainfield Teacher Spotlight

Before she moved to Iowa this summer, I had the privilege of working alongside Jenna from March-June when I joined her fifth-grade team at Wesmere Elementary School in Plainfield.

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Jenna is one of those teachers who you can tell puts their whole being into teaching. I had the privilege of working with her for a few months, and even though it was not long, I will never forget her. The deep care she has for her students will always impact me just as much as it has impacted her students. She is an inspiration for all teachers and a breath of fresh air in the education field.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

Something I want everyone to know about Jenna is her love. Her love for her students, her love for their families, her love for their progress and accomplishments and all the tough moments in between, and the love for her coworkers and their well-being as well. She radiates positivity and it is impossible not to catch it.
