Services Set For Officer Killed In I-55 Crash
10-year Berwyn Police Department veteran Charles Schauer was killed in an early morning crash on Sunday.
PLAINFIELD, IL — Berwyn police said services are set for Officer Charles "Chuck" Schauer, 33, of Glen Ellyn. Schauer was killed in the second of two early morning crashes on southbound I-55 north of Route 30 near Plainfield on Sunday.
Visitation for Schauer, a 10-year veteran of the Berwyn Police Department, is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24 at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1530 Jackson Ave. in River Forest.
A 10 a.m. funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, also at St. Vincent Ferrer Church.

Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside following the services.
