PLAINFIELD, IL — The Tap House Grill will host a benefit Thursday, Oct. 10 for the family of Colton Miller, the 18-month-old boy who was killed by his father inside his Joliet home. The benefit will seek to raise money for Miller's mother and sister, who were both wounded in the attack.

Colton was killed after his father, 35-year-old Christopher Miller, attacked his family
in their Joliet home Saturday, Sept. 21. On that day, Miller came to the house of his estranged wife before he attacked his family, injuring 32-year-old Cassandra Tanner-Miller and their 9-year-old daughter Camryn.

Miller shot his infant son multiple times, then shot himself after barricading himself in the house. He reportedly entered the house and said "Are you all ready to die today?"
