Temporary Closure Of CN Railroad Crossing Begins Next Week
The village of Plainfield encourages motorists to use detour route.
PLAINFIELD, IL -- Village President Michael Collins wants residents to be aware of the closure of the CN Railroad Crossing, planned for next week.
The announcement arose at Monday’s meeting of the Plainfield Village Board.
“CN Railroad has notified the village that an emergency repair will be completed at 135th Street railroad crossing,” Collins said.

The repair requires the closure of 135th crossing from 8 a.m. April 22 until the afternoon of April 26.
Collins said no traffic will be allowed to cross the railroad tracks during the closure.

A detour route intends to redirect motorists to use 127th Street along Van Dyke Road and Route 30.
