Try To Pull An Armored Truck The Fastest At Plainfield PD Challenge
The annual Armored Truck Challenge will once again benefit Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Locals will have a chance Aug. 6 to compete to see who can pull an armored truck the fastest as part of the Plainfield Police Department's annual challenge.
Teams of five will compete to see who can pull an empty armored truck 75 feet the fastest. Weighing about 38,000 pounds, the truck is undoubtedly a challenge to pull, but teams have completed the distance in a minute or two in prior competitions, Patch reported.
An armored truck from the police department's own fleet will be used for the event, taking place at Village Hall, 24401 W. Lockport St. Each team will take turns pulling the truck the full distance and have their time recorded. The truck is then pulled back to the starting line until all teams participate and a winner is declared.
