Vandals Damage Plainfield Park District Sites
Damage includes broken toilets, graffiti and destroyed light fixtures.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Plainfield Park District officials are asking the public to report suspicious activities at local parks after vandals struck several locations in the last few days.
"The vandalism has included graffiti on signs and structures at Mather Woods, damage to lighting at the Ottawa Street ball field, and the destruction of fixtures in the restroom at Village Green Park, which most likely occurred during daytime hours," the park district said in a Facebook post.
Residents are asked to keep an eye out for any suspicious activity at area parks and contact the police if you see anything. Contact the park district at 815-436-8812 if you spot any graffiti or damage to park district property.
