Woman Arrested On Felony Theft Charges: Oswego PD

An Oswego woman was arrested Tuesday on felony theft charges, following a two-and-a-half year police investigation.

OSWEGO, IL — The Oswego Police reported Thursday that they had arrested 41-year-old village resident Michaelene Majestic on felony theft charges. Majestic was the founder and formerly the CEO of Oswego-based dog rescue nonprofit Just Giants Rescue, Inc. The police received a report in August 2017 alleging that Majestic had been misusing company funds.

Following more than two years of investigation into the matter, the Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office charged Majestic with four counts of felony theft on March 10. Police said she took between $500 and $10,000 of funds from Just Giants Inc. in order to pay for personal expenses.

Majestic was arrested on March 11 shortly after 6:30 p.m. in Batavia and was taken to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville. She was released after posting $3,000 in bond. Her first court date is set for March 30.
