16-Year-Old Accidentally Shoots Self In Rockford: Police
The boy was being treated at a local hospital for his gunshot wound, police said.
ROCKFORD, IL — A 16-year-old accidentally shot himself over the weekend, according to Rockford police.
Officers responded Sunday to the 3900 block of 15th Avenue for reports of a shooting victim, police said, adding further investigation revealed the injury appeared to be self-inflicted and accidental.
The boy was being treated at a local hospital for his gunshot wound, which was not life-threatening, according to police.
