6 Men Who Solicited Sex With Children Arrested: State Police

The arrests were part of an operation in the Rockford area that focused on finding people trying to pay for sex acts, police said.

ROCKFORD, IL — Six men were arrested and charged with soliciting sex crimes involving a child in a recent human trafficking operation in the Rockford area, according to state police.

The operation took place Wednesday and Thursday and focused on finding people trying to pay for sex acts, police said.

The following men were charged with indecent solicitation of a child, traveling to meet a child and solicitation to meet a child aged 5 or older, all of which are felonies, according to police:

  • Carlos A. Rivera, 50, of Rockford;
  • Harry J. Hulmes III, 57, of Machesney Park;
  • Jon D. Juhlin, 58, of Rockford;
  • Lavonte D. Allen, 32, of Rockford;
  • Nathan D. Hayes, 31, of Pecatonica;
  • Gerald L. Hochastatter, 71, of Delevan, Wisconsin.

State police worked with the State Line Area Narcotics Team, the Blackhawk Area Task Force and the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office on the operation, authorities said.
