ALDI Holding Rockford Hiring Events For Over 300 Area Positions

ROCKFORD, IL — ALDI is looking to fill more than 1,000 permanent positions across stores, warehouses and corporate roles, with more than 300 of these positions pertaining to the Rockford area, Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana. To help fill positions for stores in Belvidere, Freeport, Loves Park, Machesney Park, Rockford and Roscoe, ALDI is holding hiring events on Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 12 and 13 at the Rockford store, 6650 E. State St.

Wednesday's event will run 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday's will be held from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., for those interested in several positions.

According to a release, ALDI is investing more than $5.3 billion to remodel and expand to 2,500 stores by the end of 2022, and will add 25,000 new jobs in stores, warehouses and offices with industry-leading compensation and generous benefits packages. ALDI has also been named to the Forbes list of “America’s Best Large Employers” three years in a row.

“While many retailers are closing locations and facing a challenging retail climate, ALDI is expanding in every core area of our business, particularly our stores and warehouses,” said Jason Hart, CEO of ALDI U.S., in a statement sent to Patch. “We invite job seekers to be part of the largest expansion the company has seen as we advance our mission to help more than 100 million people save money on high quality food every month by 2022.”
