3 New Restaurants To Open In Romeoville

The establishments vary in offerings, from American food such as burgers and hot dogs to Asian cuisine.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Three new restaurants have opened in Romeoville, offering cuisines that span the gamut from Chicago classics to Asian dishes.

Faiza, Halsted Street Dawgs and Happy Bites will have locals "looking forward to lunch and dinner," village officials said in a Tuesday news release.

Faiza, located at 365 S. Budler Road, serves dishes — including beef dumplings, lamb and rice, and specialty deserts — that follow halal standards. Of the three, it's the only one currently open.

Halsted Street Dawgs is preparing to open around mid-April at 457 N. Weber Road. The eatery will serve burgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs, Italian beef and gyros, among other bites.

Happy Bites, opening this summer in a new retail building near Greenwood Avenue and Route 53, will offer a variety of food, including burgers and wings. In fact, its burgers were named some of Chicago's best by WGN-TV. The Romeoville restaurant will be Happy Bites' second — it's first location is in Tinley Park.
