Ascension Health officials said that the new care center will provide treatments for cancer patients that provides care for patients who may be still dealing with the shock of their diagnosis.
Romeoville Mayor John Noak said that the center’s location in Romeoville will be key to providing care to those who need it not only in Romeoville but in the surrounding communities as well.
Chris Shride, the president of Ascension Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, told attendees at Sunday’s event that the opening of the Romeoville care facility is a demonstration of the healthcare provider’s commitment to offering top-level cancer treatment.
“God is working within the hands and feet” of physicians, radiologic technologists, nurses, registration staff, and others,” Shride said of the extension of services into Romeoville.
