Baseball Field Restoration Approved At Romeoville Parks

Restoration work will be done at three ball fields at Volunteer Park and two ball fields at Village Park.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — At its Dec. 20 meeting, the Romeoville Village Board approved restoration work at various baseball diamonds around town.

The Board waived the bidding process and awarded a contract to Sportsfields, Inc., for the work, according to board documents. The total cost of the work will be $49,350.

Restoration work will be done at three ball fields at Volunteer Park and two ball fields at Village Park. Work includes edging of each infield, hauling scrap off-site, regrading each field, and restoring batters boxes and home plate.

"This infield restoration work will provide a safer playing field for both youth and adult participants of our softball/baseball programs," the Village said.
