DUI, Aggravated Speeding, Stolen Vehicles: Romeoville Police Blotter

Romeoville Police made a series of arrests over the past week and local residents were charged with a variety of criminal offenses.

ROMEOVILLE, IL ­— The Romeoville Police Department made a series of arrests over the past week involving local residents who were charged with a variety of criminal offenses.

Local residents are reminded that criminal charges do not equate to a guilty finding and that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Viralbhai Amin, 37, Romeoville, was arrested at 10:40 p.m. on May 1 in the 400 block of Stonebrook Drive and charged with driving under the influence. Bond was set at $3,000 with 10 percent to apply.

Fernando Vazquez, 23, Joliet, was arrested at 9:06 p.m. on May 6 in the area of Route 53 and Taylor for driving with no insurance, improper display of license plates, and driving while their license was suspended. Bond was set at $2,500 with 10 percent to apply.

Christopher Conejo, 18, Joliet, was arrested at 11:11 p.m. on May 7 in the area of Airport Road and Amaryllis and charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and speeding. Bond was set at $2,500 with 10 percent to apply.

Christian Cantu, 28, Romeoville, was arrested at 12:13 a.m. on May 8 in the area of Macon and Palmer and charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Bond was set at $2,500 with 10 percent to apply.

Kevyn Garcia, 23, Joliet, was arrested at 7:20 a.m. on May 9 in the area of Weber Road and Gaskin and charged with aggravated speeding and driving with no insurance. He was released on a $2,500 I-Bond.

Jorge Zarate-Espejo, 32, Aurora, was arrested on May 9 in the area of Weber Road and Windham Parkway and charged with unlawful possession of a car title and possession of a stolen motor vehicle. He was taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

Allen Hoard, 22, Romeoville, was arrested at 10:26 p.m. on May 9 in the 500 block of Easton Avenue on an in-state warrant. He was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

Kevin Williams, 25, Willowbrook, was arrested at 11:22 a.m. on May 10 in the area of Airport Road and Richfield Trail for driving while his license was revoked, driving with no insurance, and speeding. He was released on a $2,500 I-Bond.

Pierre Cole, 32, was arrested at 8:26 p.m. on May 10 in the 1000 block of Windham Parkway on an in-state warrant and for obstructing justice. He was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

Pierre Torres, 33, Glen Ellyn, was arrested at 7:14 a.m. on May 11 in the area of Route 53 and Chambers and charged with driving with an expired registration and driving with his license revoked. He was released on a $2,500 personal recognizance.
