DUI, Battery, Resisting, Evading Police Officers: Romeoville Blotter

The Romeoville Police Department made a number of arrests in the past week and several local residents were charged with criminal offenses.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Romeoville Police Department made a series of arrests in the past week involving local residents who were charged with a variety of criminal offenses.

Local residents are reminded that criminal charges do not equate to a guilty finding and that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Joshua Abar,35, Romeoville, was arrested at 8:51 p.m. on April 28 in the area of Budler and Summerfield and charged with improper lane usage, fleeing and eluding an officer, disobeying a stop sign, and resisting/obstructing a police officer. Bond was set at $2,500 with 10 percent to apply.

Julio Call-Pop, 22, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 3:41 p.m. on April 28 in the area of Normantown and Montrose and charged with speeding, driving with no insurance, driving with an expired registration, and driving without a valid driver’s license. He was released on $2,500 personal recognizance

Anthony Svec, 29, Berwyn, was arrested at 1:47 a.m. on April 28 in the area of Rt 53 and University Parkway and charged with speeding, DUI, driving while his license was suspended, improper left turn, failure to reduce speed, fleeing /eluding police, and possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

Raymond Escobar, 19, Montgomery, was arrested at 10:38 p.m. on April 29 in the area of Route 53 and Airport and charged with speeding, improper lane usage, and driving with no insurance. He was released on a $2,500 I-Bond.

Joi Taylor, 39, Romeoville, was arrested at 8:15 a.m. on April 30 in the area of Westlake and Canterbury on an in-state warrant. She was taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

Ryan Orden, 41, Romeoville, was arrested at 12:08 a.m. on April 30 in the area of Southcreek Parkway and Taylor Road and charged with improper lane usage, DUI, no insurance, and not driving in the correct lane, driving while license suspended. Bond was set at $3,000 with 10 percent to apply.

Cash Rogers, 28, Montgomery, was arrested at 6:15 p.m. on May 1 n the 1100 block of Windham Parkway and charged with parking in the roadway and DUI. Bond was set at $3,000 with 10 percent to apply.

Joshua Schwinn, 19, Romeoville, was arrested at 9:01 p.m. on May 1 in the area of Romeo and Eaton and charged with aggravated speeding. Bond was set at $2,500 with 10 percent to apply.

Michael Arvidson, 53, Joliet, was arrested at 12:45 a.m. on May 2 in the area of Romeo Road and charged with aggravated domestic battery. He was taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
