DUI, Child Endangerment, Aggravated Speeding: Romeoville PD Blotter
Romeoville Police officers made a series of arrests in recent weeks involving area residents and a variety of criminal offenses.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Romeoville Police Department made a series of arrests over the past couple of weeks involving local residents and a variety of criminal offenses.
Local residents are reminded that criminal charges do not equate to a guilty finding and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Cynthia Blanco, 31, Romeoville, was arrested on April 2 in the area of Weber Road and Normantown and charged with driving under the influence, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, child endangerment, improper lane usage and driving without insurance or a driver’s license in her possession. Bond was set at $3,000 with 10 percent to apply.
Joshua Garrels, Braidwood, was arrested on April 2 in the area of Weber Road and Taylor and charged with driving under the influence, disobeying a traffic signal, and parking in the road. He was taken to the Will County Jail.

Akash Patel, 43, Romeoville, was arrested on April 4 in the area of Weber Road and South Carillon and charged with aggravated speeding and illegal transportation of alcohol. He was released on $2,500 personal recognizance.
Emilio Garcia, 20, Romeoville, was arrested on April 6 in the area of Taylor and Troxel and charged with aggravated speeding. He was released on $2,500 personal recognizance.
Iryna Bilash, 40, Hoffman Estates, was arrested on April 6 in the area of Route 53 and Taylor and charged with aggravated speeding and driving without insurance. She was released on $2,500 personal recognizance.
