No Annual Halloween Fest In Romeoville This Year Due To Pandemic

The village and the RACC have come up with a safe alternative called the Hall-O-Boo Drive Thru in lieu of the annual fest this year.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Village of Romeoville announced Monday that the Hall-O-Boo Drive Thru will take place 5:30 - 7 :30 p.m. on Oct. 23 at the Romeoville Village Hall parking lot at 1050 W. Romeo Road. Organized along with the Romeoville Area Chamber of Commerce, this is a safe alternative to the annual Halloween Fest amid the pandemic.

Held in October, the annual family-friendly event gives kids the opportunity to test drive their costumes and brush up on their trick-or-treating skills. Local businesses participate in the Trick or Treat Trail by manning a table and handing out candy and other goodies to the families as they pass by. Last year, the first 400 children at the event received a free pumpkin.

"The free event features drive-thru trunk or treat, children’s entertainment, and a free small pumpkin for the first 500 children," the release said.
