High School Artists Exhibit Begins At Lewis University On Jan. 11

Local students from nine high schools are featured in the show.

ROMEOVILLE, ILL — Local high school artists will have their talent displayed during the seventh annual High School Art Invitational on Jan. 11-18 in the Brent and Jean Wadsworth Family Gallery, located on Lewis University’s main campus in Romeoville, according to a release from the university.

The exhibit is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. All are also welcome to attend the free closing reception and awards presentation at 7 p.m. on Jan. 18.

Local students from nine high schools are featured in the show with approximately 40 works of art consisting of paintings, drawings, sculptures, digital works and mixed media, the university said.

Artists are students at the following high schools: Plainfield North High School, Plainfield South High School, Plainfield Central High School, Plainfield East High School, Joliet Catholic Academy, Romeoville High School, Lemont High School, Providence Catholic High School and Lockport Township High School.
