UPDATE: Forest Preserve Full Moon Night Hike Sure to Be Illuminating Experience

Halloween has come and gone. Still, there are opportunities for spooky outdoor adventures on the horizon.

Take this example: “Full Moon Night Hike,” a free, all-ages family program sponsored by the Forest Preserve District of Will County, will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at Thorn Creek Nature Center in Park Forest, 247 Monee Road, not Isle a la Cache in Romeoville.

Registration is required by Nov. 15.

The program is described like this by Bruce Hodgdon, the forest preserve district’s public information officer: “As you walk through the woods at night, your senses become heightened to what is happening around you. Learn to interpret different sounds during this nocturnal exploration of the woods.”
