Lewis University Lands 3 Graduate Programs Among Nation's Best: Report

U.S. News and World Report's 2023 list recognizes the Romeoville university for its graduate programs in nursing, education and social work.

ROMEOVILLE, IL – Three graduate-level programs at Lewis University have been recognized as being among the best in the United States, according to a U.S. News and World report ranking announced last week.

Lewis University ranked among the top nursing, education and social work programs for the publication’s 2023 Best Graduate School rankings, the school said in a news release.

Designed to assist prospective students who are looking to take their college education beyond the undergraduate level, the Best Graduate School rankings are put together to evaluate universities in several disciplines, the release said.

The publication collects data from schools on an annual basis and then releases its rankings for the best schools in the counties for students studying law, business, engineering, medicine and nursing, according to the release.

The report provides prospective students with the most up-to-date information involving school enrollment, job placement, faculty and other critical quality criteria that allows students to make the best choice possible when it comes to selecting a graduate school.

According to the rankings, Lewis ranked No. 82 in graduate nursing programs and scored with 74 points out of 100. The publication ranks 179 schools in each category.

Lewis ranked between 207th and 274th in universities offerings graduate level programs in education and ranked also among the country's top schools for social work, the report said.
