Lie About Getting Gun Pulled on Her Outside Lifetime Fitness Lands Woman in Jail: Cops

She accused a man of pointing a gun at her but she was lying, police said.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — A Westmont woman lied about a man pulling a gun on her in the parking lot of a Lifetime Fitness, police said, and she ended up going to jail for it

Shannon Riley, 23, was locked up Tuesday evening on a felony charge of disorderly conduct in connection with her alleged fib about getting a gun pulled on her outside the Romeoville fitness center.

Riley identified a 21-year-old Bolingbrook man by name and claimed he pointed a gun at her, according to a criminal complaint on file in Will County court.

Romeoville police Cmdr. John Ferdinardo failed to return a call for further information on the case.

Riley was released from jail Wednesday after a friend posted $3,000 bail. As a condition of her bond, Riley was ordered to stay away from the Bolingbrook man.
