Lukancic 7th-Grader Happy to Take One for the Team During Red Ribbon Week

Say this much about Payton Camden: She is a team player.

Camden, a seventh-grader at Romeoville's Lukancic Middle School, was spotted writing her name on a paper football that will be taped to her locker as a sign of her support for the "team effort" during Red Ribbon Week at the school.

At Lukancic, officials have adopted a Red Ribbon theme of "One School-One Goal: Bully and Drug Free," according to a Valley View School District news release. Staff and students will participate in Red Ribbon activities through Friday.
