ROMEOVILLE, IL — Romeoville police say a man missing since Tuesday afternoon has been found and is being reunited with family. Police said he was located at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Muskegon County, Michigan, roughly 200 miles from Romeoville.

Authorities had asked for the public's help locating Mariano Tello, 79, who left his home at around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and was en route to a car dealership in Joliet, police said. At 10:33 p.m. the same day, police responded to a missing person report in the 100 block of Murphy Drive after Tello failed to return. Police said he has early signs of dementia, takes medication for diabetes and walks with a cane.

On Thursday morning, officials said Tello had been located and that family had made arrangements for his return.
