Over 1,000 To Be Honored At Lewis University's December Graduations
Students earning certificates, doctoral degrees, Master's degrees and Bachelor's degrees will be honored.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — Lewis University will celebrate December Commencement ceremonies for more than 1,000 students on December 15-16 at the university’s campus in Romeoville, according to a release from the university.
The celebration begins on Friday, with the Graduate Degree Ceremony for the College of Aviation, Science, and Technology and the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, which honors students receiving certificates of advanced study and master’s degrees, as well as graduates of adult accelerated programs. Richard R.Ellis and Belinda Lee Rincones will receive Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees, the university said.
The morning Graduate Degree Ceremony for the College of Business and the College of Education and Social Sciences on Saturday honors students receiving doctoral degrees, certificates of advanced study, and master’s degrees, as well as graduates of adult accelerated programs, according to the university. Michael Patrick Bulfin, Milton Bradley Harmon, Elizabeth Ann Protich, Latricia Denise Walker will earn Doctor of Education degrees.

The afternoon Undergraduate Degree Ceremony will honor College of Business, College of Education and Social Sciences as well as College of Humanities, Fine Arts and Communications degree recipients. Catherine Fiori will offer the Lasallian Address; Fiori earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Catholic educator and Lasallian leader James Segredo ’77, B.A., M.Ed, will receive an honorary doctorate degree and address the graduates, according to the university.

The evening Undergraduate Degree Ceremony will honor College of Aviation, Science and Technology, as well as College of Nursing and Health Sciences degree recipients. Samaras will offer the Lasallian Address. Also, during the ceremony, Christopher MacDougall will be recognized with the Father Aquinas Colgan Award for his transformation while earning a bachelor’s degree in biology, according to the university.
Tickets are limited for the in-person events. The degree ceremonies will be streamed live at lewisu.edu/livecommencement by the Lewis University Television Network and Department of Communications, the university said.
