Parks & Rec Department Subject of Romeoville’s 2025 Holiday Ornament
Ornament celebrates Department's 60th Anniversary

This year’s Romeoville Holiday Ornament, which is now on sale, features the Parks and Recreation Department as they celebrate their 60th anniversary. Measuring roughly 2.75” long by 2.75” high, this circular silver ornament features a spinning middle with the Recreation Center on one side and a playground on the other, symbolizing both parks and recreation. The ornament also includes the department’s ”join the fun” slogan and the 60th anniversary logo that has been used all year long. The year and “Romeoville Parks and Recreation” also appear on the piece. Everything comes in a burgundy box with the Village of Romeoville logo stamped on the lid in silver.
“The Parks and Recreation Department is all about fun and movement,” said Mayor Noak. “This year’s ornament is one that spins, capturing these core elements perfectly.”
The 2025 ornaments are $15 and can be purchased at the Recreation Center (900 W. Romeo Road) and at Village Hall (1050 W. Romeo Road). Online ordering and shipping are not available. A limited number of 2024 ornaments that celebrated the Romeoville library will also be on sale ($15) at both locations, offering an opportunity to get caught up or to jump start a new collection. The Parks & Recreation ornament is the fourth in the series.
