Police Blotter: Criminal Defacement of Property & Retail Theft Incidents

Also, police report a 20-year-old Romeoville man is charged on an in-state warrant in the 700 block of Delta Avenue.

The following incidents were reported by the Romeoville Police Department:

Nov. 9: A criminal defacement to property was reported in the 1800 block of Lake Shore Drive. A vehicle that was parked in the street was damaged by unknown person(s) using spray paint. Estimated cost to remove the damage is $150. Time: 11:05 p.m.

Nov. 9: A criminal defacement to property was reported in the 1700 block of Chaucer Drive. A vehicle that was parked in the street was damaged by unknown person(s) using spray paint. Estimated cost to remove the damage is $350. Time: 10:09 p.m.

Nov. 13: A delayed retail theft report was taken from the 0-100 block of South Weber Road. An unknown person entered the business and took several cartons of cigarettes. Estimated cost of the items taken is $1,650. Time: 6:53 p.m.

Nov. 18: Bertha Reyes, 31, 554 Liberty, Joliet, was charged with DWLS and expired registration at Weber Road at 135th Street.

Nov. 18: Luis Catzin, 20, 730 Delta, Romeoville, was charged with an in-state warrant in the 700 block of Delta.

Nov. 19: Augusto Chacon, 47, 906 Oakland, Joliet, was charged with no valid DL and disobeying a traffic signal at Route 53 at Murphy Drive.
