Pop-Up Vaccine Clinic Planned During Founder's Day Weekend
As cases of COVID-19 increase across the U.S., the health department said it is promoting safe, accessible vaccinations across the county.
HOMER GLEN, IL — The Will County Health Department is hosting several upcoming pop-up vaccine clinics across the county, including during Founder's Day Weekend in Romeoville.
The pop-up vaccine clinic will be at Founder's Day Weekend from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sept. 18.
Founder's Day Weekend will be held Sept. 16 through Sept. 19 at Deer Crossing Park. The fest will feature live music, art displays, food trucks, children's activities, a parade, fireworks and more.

As cases of COVID-19 increase across the country, the Will County Health Department said it is promoting safe, accessible vaccinations in all parts of the county.
"The COVID-19 vaccine is widely available throughout the County," said Vinita Voss, Vaccine Equity Manager for the Will County Health Department. "We are now focusing on smaller, pop-up vaccination clinics throughout our county to ensure that there is equitable access to vaccines. We want the public to know all of the COVID-19 vaccines are safe and critical to ending this pandemic."

More than 52 percent of the total population of Will County is fully vaccinated, the health department said. The positivity rate in Will County has also risen to more than seven percent in recent weeks, according to the health department.
