Prairie Bluff Preserve Remains Closed
Forest preserve spokesperson Cindy Cain told Patch the preserve is closed to protect a natural resource.
WILL COUNTY, IL — After three weeks, the Prairie Bluff Preserve in Crest Hill is still closed to the public, the Forest Preserve District of Will County told Patch Monday.
The preserve first posted the closure on Jan. 11, and said it was closed until further notice.
Forest preserve spokesperson Cindy Cain told Patch the preserve is closed to protect a natural resource.

"We don’t know exactly when it will reopen, but it shouldn’t be too much longer," she said.
The preserve is off of Renwick Road, east of Weber Road in Crest Hill. It is 680 acres and helps protect wetland habitat, according to the preserve website.

Prairie Bluff has 3.21 miles of paved trail and a picnic shelter.
