Romeoville Boys Soccer Advances To Super-Sectionals

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Romeoville High School boys soccer team are sectional champions after Friday night's win in a penalty shootout over Bloom Township.

The regulation score was 0-0, but the Spartans took the win in a 4-3 penalty shootout against the Chicago Heights team.

The team had advanced to the sectional final after winning against Stagg High School 3-2 on Oct. 25.

Now, the Spartans will play in the Bloomington Super-Sectional against Edwardsville High School in Bloomington. The game will be held at 6 p.m. on Nov. 1.

The winner of the Super-Sectional will advance into the state final tournament. The state final tournament will be held Nov. 4-5 in Hoffman Estates.
