Romeoville High School Boys Soccer Team Heads To Sectional Final
Romeoville will play Bloom Township at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Romeoville High School boys soccer team has advanced to the final round of the Lockport Township Sectional after Tuesday's win against Stagg.
Romeoville defeated Stagg 3-2 on Tuesday.
"The match was a battle, we scored [3 out of 5] chances that we had, which was the difference," Coach Nick Cirrincione told Patch. "Senior goalkeeper Lucas Ortiz was the man in the net stopping multiple shots in crucial situations."

Next up, Romeoville will play Bloom Township at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at Lockport Township High School.
"Looking for the community to show up and cheer for the Spartans!!" Cirrincione said.

The winner of Friday's game against Bloom Township will advance to the Super-Sectional, according to the IHSA website. The winner of the Lockport sectional will play against the winner of the Moline sectional on Nov. 1.
To advance into sectional competition, Romeoville won against Reavis, 7-0, in the first round of regionals, and defeated Lincoln-Way Central 4-0 to become regional champions.
The Class 3A boys soccer state final tournament will be held in Hoffman Estates on Nov. 4-5.
