Romeoville Man Found In Possession of Ecstasy, Oxycontin, Ammo: Police

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A 22-year-old Romeoville man was arrested and charged with weapons and drugs offenses after being pulled over by Bolingbrook Police on Sunday, police said.

Xavier Jones was found to be in possession of 4,000 Ecstasy pills (779 grams), 29 Oxycontin pills, 11 ammunition gun magazines, and more than 300 other rounds of ammunition of various calibers, Bolingbrook Police said Monday. Jones was pulled over for an equipment violation at Briarcliff Road and Schmidt Road at 7:53 p.m. on Sunday, police said.

Police said Jones did not have a firearms identification card in his possession at the time of the traffic stop.

He faces unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, possession of firearm ammunition, and traffic violations, police said. As of Monday, he remains in the Will County Jail, according to jail records.
